THE brother and sister team behind the Camilla and Marc label are steeling their nerves for not one opening night but two.
Marc Freeman and Camilla Freeman-Topper will open Fashion Week next Monday.
The following night they will unveil the staff uniforms they have designed for one of Sydney's most highly anticipated new restaurants - Will and Toby's in Darlinghurst.
The uniforms include little black dresses for female staff - halter-style with a bow at the neck for hosts, a shift dress for the cocktail waitresses - and fitted shirts with structured blue-and-white striped aprons for the boys.
"The staff are thrilled," restaurant co-owner Toby Osmond said. "All the girls are fans of Camilla and Marc and I just like the idea of the girls all wearing little dresses."
Freeman-Topper said she and her brother were thrilled to have been offered the coveted first catwalk slot for Australian Fashion Week.
"It's an amazing achievement," Freeman-Topper said.
"We're just finalising last-minute details and the collection is looking great. This spring-summer season we've really reflected on previous seasons and looked into the future of dressing. We've built on a strong silhouette that is pared back with timeless fabrics and really combines masculine and feminine looks."
The label, in its fourth year, is now stocked in eight countries, with the US and UK the main markets outside Australia. It was recently picked up by online retailer Net-a-Porter.com and last week featured on the cover of Women's Wear Daily.
